HPHT monitoring is a specialised well control instrument package designed for rigs with 15,000psi rated equipment, operating in fields with high wellhead pressures and temperatures.

HPHT systems monitor & record upstream & downstream pressure and temperatures of the Choke & Kill manifold, standpipe & BOP. Typically:

• 4 Temperature Loops – Choke, Buffer, Flowline & BOP
• 3 Pressure Loops – Choke, Kill, Buffer & BOP
• Strip Tank Level – a dedicated stripping tank is sometimes included.
• Liquid seal monitoring is often included

The panel shown (right) incorporates the following 

• Liquid seal monitor & alarm
• Manifold temps & pressures
• BOP temp & pressure
• Pump stroke counter

All systems and component equipment is designed and manufactured to operate in Zone 1 areas as required.
