Pre Load Tanks

Pre-Load Tank Monitoring is usually a safe area operation, unless diesel tanks are incorporated into the specification.

There are three sensor options:

  • Ultrasonic/radar sensors
  • Submersible pressure transmitter
  • Re-using a rig’s ‘Bubbler’ system

Signals from the sensors/transmitters are processed and displayed by a common data handling display package.

  • Cost-effective option
  • Processes data
  • Data displayed as level, volume & weight
  • Bargraphs with alarm levels
  • Accommodates irregular tanks shapes
  • Wind speed, direction & sea draft can be incorporated into screen displays
  • Larger display screen
  • A full colour rig mimic can display individual tank levels/volumes/weights
  • Archived data for analysis & review
  • More complex images can be viewed
  • Wind speed, direction & sea draft can be incoporated into screen displays

Typical PC Functions Available:

  • Secure website access
  • Remote Data Transmission
  • Data imported into Excel spreadsheets
  • Rig network connection available
  • Sensor Options
  • PLC Data Display
  • PC Data Display
  • PC Data Display Option

PRE-LOAD TANK MONITORING SYSTEM (PLT)

The PLT monitors:

  • Tank Levels
  • Tank Weights
  • Tank Volumes

The system:

  • Maximises rig stability during jacking operations
  • Reduces time for pre-loading operations
  • Can provide individual tank alarms
  • Advanced PC display/archive available

Additional parameter options include:

  • Can be incorporated as part of EFC’s Integrated Marine Monitoring System (IMMS).
  • Void Leak Detection Switches
  • Consumable tank volumes
