HR Manager Receives Prestigious Award

Aberdeen-based EFC Group, a leading designer and manufacturer of instrumentation, monitoring, handling and control systems for the global oil and gas industry, picked up the Excellent HR Manager award at last night’s 2013 Cherries Awards.
Human resources manager Nicky Clark, who joined EFC Group in 2011, received the award for her critical role in devising and implementing a number of effective company initiatives, focusing on people development and employee retention. She has demonstrated a strong understanding of the need for customer-led strategies, whilst remaining committed to her own personal development.
Nicky was presented with the accolade at yesterday’s awards ceremony, which was held at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre. The Cherries celebrate success and examples of excellence in human resources, recruitment and training in the North East of Scotland.
Louise McGowan, sales and marketing manager at EFC Group, nominated Nicky for the dedication and commitment shown in her day-to-day work.
“Nicky has consistently shown a real flair and passion for getting the best out of people. She plays a key part in sustaining EFC’s customer led strategy that in turn supports our operational needs of the business.
“With Nicky’s concentrated efforts and infectious enthusiasm she has made swift, tangible changes that are delivering benefits by motivating and encouraging personnel. As an SME, EFC Group could be limited by the size of our HR team however Nicky has helped to improve and update internal standards to levels which match those of the major players in our industry.
“EFC Group has enjoyed a successful year and winning this award has been another great achievement for the company. Nicky is an asset to the team and she has implemented positive change within EFC Group. This award recognises her valued contribution to business growth and we are delighted to see her win.”
Commenting on her achievement, Nicky said:

Following the recent opening of two new bases in Forres, Scotland, EFC Group now employs 127 members of staff across its offices in Aberdeen, Forres, Leeds, Houston, Singapore and Abu Dhabi. The Group also has international representation in Norway, Mexico, India and Brazil, making it well placed to serve its global client network.
